• PRINT PRODUCTION MANAGER
Twice a year Pangyrus publishes a book collection — one anthology in the winter and one smaller, themed collection in the summer. The Print Production Manager would oversee both projects from start to finish. The right volunteer has excellent organization and scheduling skills, loves design, has great attention to detail, and is excited to work with our editors, authors, designer, tech staff, and printer. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign is helpful. This role is busiest from November to June, with approximately 5-7 hours of work a week during that time.
• SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTOR
If you can tweet, Insta, and FB with the best of them, then Pangyrus would like to hear from you! We need a motivated, design-smart Social Media Director who thrills audiences on all social media platforms and has expertise with Submittable, WordPress, Canva, Patreon, and Mail Chimp. The Social Media Director works closely with the Managing Editor and Founding Editor. Our goal with social media is to bring awareness of the magazine and make our authors shine. This is a volunteer position requiring about five to seven hours per week.
Working with us offers the opportunity to gain broad experience and to be part of a high-powered creative team from Harvard University, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and other Boston-area literary organizations. And we have fun!
All positions are unpaid and on a volunteer basis.
