Pangyrus Literary Magazine is offering a virtual internship to the right candidate. Pangyrus publishes outstanding poetry, fiction, nonfiction, and cartoons with special sections on food writing (Zest!) and the pandemic (In Sickness and In Health). Our staff is comprised of professors, writers, poets, and publishing professionals.
The internship is for a period of two months and potentially longer (with start and end dates somewhat flexible). It offers a structured learning environment with a great team and opportunities for creativity and autonomy. Some of what you’ll help do: redesign our website, communicate with authors, participate in editorial meetings, and plan for the magazine’s future. The right candidate will need computer, design, editorial and publishing skills with a strong understanding of WordPress– also facility with Submittable and MailChimp would be a plus. Approximately 12-15 hours of work per week. The position is unpaid, although some colleges and universities may offer a stipend.
