Amy Hanes

Amy Hanes, PhD, is a cultural anthropologist. She researches wildlife conservation in Central Africa and teaches writing at Harvard University. Apart from academia, she has worked in youth education and gender-based violence prevention in the U.S., Niger, the Central African Republic, and Cameroon. When she’s not with her family and dog in Boston or down South, you can find her with the chimps.
