Gary Guinn

Gary Guinn’s first novel, A Late Flooding Thaw, was published in 2005. His second, Sacrificial Lam, was released in 2017. In 2023 he co-authored with a colleague the nonfiction book Midwatch in Verse: New Year’s Deck Log Poetry of the United States Navy, 1941-1946, published by McFarland Books. His fiction has appeared in a variety of magazines, including Carve, and several anthologies, the latest being Yonder Mountain, from the University of Arkansas Press. He was raised in the southern Ozark Mountains, and his work explores the intersection of desire, fear, and judgment.
