Matthew Pitt

Raised in St. Louis, Matthew Pitt worked in LA for a sitcom, NYC as an editor, and Massachusetts as a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. Matt now operates out of Ft. Worth, where he teaches Creative Writing at TCU, and serves as Editor of the journal descant. Tear Here, his first novel, was released this spring (Carnegie Mellon University Press). His prior books are the award-winning story collections These Are Our Demands and Attention Please Now. Individual stories appear in Conjunctions, Oxford American, Michigan Quarterly Review, BOMB, Story, EPOCH, Cincinnati Review, and The Southern Review.
