Mishele Maron

Mishele Maron is a retired chef living in Seattle, Washington. Her nonfiction writing explores the intersections between self-hood, hunger, food, and cooking with humor and candor. Her work draws heavily from the Spam-and-toast dinners of her childhood in rural Washington State, her French culinary training in France, and the marine industry where she worked as a chef aboard large yachts for a decade.
