Shira Dentz is the author of five books, how do I net thee (Salmon Poetry, 2018), the sun a blazing zero (Lavender Ink/Diálogos, 2019), and Sisyphusina (PANK Books, 2020), and two chapbooks including FLOUNDERS (Essay Press, 2016). Her poetry, visual writing, and prose appear in many venues including Poetry, The American Poetry Review, The Iowa Review, The Academy of American Poets’ Poem-a-Day series (Poets.org), and NPR. She is the recipient of various awards including an Academy of American Poets’ Prize. A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Utah and is currently Tarpaulin Sky's Special Features Editor. She lives and teaches in upstate New York.
