Allen Gee is the D.L. Jordan Endowed Professor of Creative Writing at Columbus State University. His work has appeared or is forthcoming in Ploughshares, The Crab Orchard Review, Lumina, Gulf Coast, The South Loop Review, The Common, an anthology for Continuum Press, and elsewhere. His essay collection, My Chinese-America, received favorable reviews from Kirkus and Publishers Weekly. His essay, Old School, recently won a Pushcart. Another essay, At the End of the Pier was included in the Dear America anthology. He is currently working on a biography about Pulitzer Prize for Fiction winner, James Alan McPherson.
