Kent Shell was a finalist for the 2025 Iowa Review Award, and his fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in the
Washington Square Review, McSweeney’s, Grist Journal and other places. He has received support from the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Edward F. Albee Foundation, and has been selected to participate in the Iowa Writer’s Workshop summer program,
The Kenyon Review Writer’s Workshop, and the One Story Writer’s Conference. He is a volunteer reader at
Craft Literary and
